U's Enjoy wagamama Night

Players help out in restaurant event

19 October 2022

There were some new helpers at wagamama on Tuesday evening, as some first team players joined in a Col U event at the High Street restaurant.

Sam Hornby, Luke Hannant, Ryan Clampin, Noah Chilvers, Junior Tchamadeu and Marley Marshall Miranda were on hand for a couple of hours, helping to host the restaurant and get orders out to customers.

Sam Hornby was a dab hand at welcoming the customers and getting them settled in their seats, whilst Noah Chilvers was top dog at getting the food orders from kitchen to table!

The players also sat down with some of the customers, talking all things Col U and how good the food was.

For those in attendance, there was also the chance to win wagamama goodies and a signed and framed Col U home shirt.

Colchester United's Partnerships & Hospitality Sales Manager Ben Conway said of the event:

"We have been working closely with wagamama for a few years and it was fantastic of them to invite the players down to see how things work in the restaurant."

"The lads certainly seemed to enjoy it, and we hope the Col U customers that attended and the wagamama staff did as well.

"I also hope that this event will further strengthen the partnership we have with wagamama in the future."

The winners of the raffle were as follows:
Signed Framed Shirt – ticket number 54  - Nick Millen
wagamama Gift Bag – ticket number 3  - Clare Almond
wagamama Gift Bag – ticket number 68  - Janet Coles
wagamama Gift Bag – ticket number 16 – Luke Goodson
