Colchester United's Assistant Coach has been speaking ahead of the upcoming game against Brighton U21s in the Group Stages of the Papa Johns Trophy.
Joe Dunne took press duties ahead of the first Group Stage game for the U's, and he has said that Tuesday is a real opportunity to show what the players can do, with the team expected to be different to that used on Saturday afternoon.
"We're strong as a squad for the first time in a long time, we just have to make the most of it.
"Any player we pick on Tuesday could start next week at Barrow, so we're getting to a situation now where we can get more training days and more coaching and hopefully have a real go.
"The players that we had on the bench could be real starters, and you'll probably see that with the team selection on Tuesday night."
