Dean Whitestone is the man in the middle for this weekend’s League Two match-up against Barrow AFC.

This will be Whitestone’s first League Two match of the season, having previously been in charge of two Championship games and two League One games where he handed out twelve yellow cards and no red cards.

Last season was a similar story, with the majority of Whitestone’s games being in the Championship, EFL Cup and FA Cup.

However, there were two games in League Two that he took charge of towards the end of the season, this includes a 2-2 draw between the U’s and Walsall on the last weekend of April.

Last season he was in charge of thirty-four games handing out 102 yellow cards and only one red card.

Assistant – Phillip Dermott

Dermott has been an assistant referee fifty-nine times since the beginning of last season. He does most of his work in the Championship but has been involved in the FA Cup, League One and Two and the League Cup.

He was also involved in the League One play-offs last season.

Assistant - Paul Hodskinson

Hodskinson has been involved in eight Championship games, one League Two game and a League Cup game this season. He also does most of his work in the Championship after completing thirty-four games in the second division of English football last season.

He was involved in the League One play offs last season as well as Dermott. This will be his forty-eighth time officiating a League Two match in his career.

Fourth Official - Martin Woods

Woods has been the fourth official twice this season, with one game being in the EFL Cup and the other being in the Championship.

Last season he was the fourth official a total of nine times, twice in the EFL Trophy, three times in League One and four times in League Two, he was also the referee for the U’s opening game of the season away at Northampton.
