Fellow pros vote in Junior

29 August 2023

Junior Tchamadeu has been named in the PFA, (Professional Footballers' Association), Team of the Year for League Two.

The U's youngster made a total of forty six appearances across the 2022/23 season, scoring five times.

Having already won a host of awards for his performances last season, Junior has been named by his peers as one of the best players in League Two.

He is joined in the back four of the voted team by Orient's Omar Beckles, Carl Piergianni from Stevenage and Salford's Ibou Touray, with O's keeper Lawrence Vigouroux between the sticks.

Further forward in the Team of the Year are a midfield of Idris El Mizouni, Elliot Watt and Owen Moxon and a trio up front of Sam Hoskins, Paul Smyth and Andy Cook.

Tchamadeu is one of only four players in the line-up not to have been promoted with his respective team, with Orient leading the running with four players voted in.

Congratulations to Junior for another accolade from an outstanding 2022/23 season.
