Sam Hornby has been recalled from his loan spell with Solihull Moors.
The U’s goalkeeper headed out to the National League side last month on a loan deal that was originally supposed to last until January, but he has been recalled sooner than planned with a hectic period coming up for Matty Etherington’s side.
Hornby made four outings for the promotion-chasing side who currently sit fourth in the National League, but has been back in North Essex this week after featuring in Solihull’s 2-0 FA Trophy win against Scunthorpe on Friday evening.
Sam will now be hoping to fight his way into Matty Etherington’s plans, battling with Owen Goodman and Tom Smith for the starting spot.
