Colchester United Head Coach Matt Bloomfield has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month.
The U’s enjoyed a productive January, collecting more points than any other team in the division with thirteen from six games.
Kicking off the year with a home victory against promotion-chasing Swindon Town, Bloomfield guided his side out of the bottom two, and continued the good form with consecutive away wins at Harrogate and Rochdale.
The U’s gained a point against Salford City at home, coming from behind to share the spoils with the high-flying Ammies before rounding off the month with another away win – this time taking three points from fellow strugglers Hartlepool United.
Matt will be up against Steve Evans (Stevenage), Neil Harris (Gillingham) and Paul Simpson (Carlisle United) for the award.
