Chay Cooper has joined National League South side St Albans City on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The twenty-one-year-old midfielder will be hoping to get some regular game time with the Saints as they look to gain promotion to the National League.
Cooper had been out of action in the first half of the season after picking up an injury, returning to the fray for the U21s in their 10-0 win over Saffron Walden in the BBC Essex Senior Cup.
The young midfielder made his debut for the U’s last season in the Papa John’s Trophy win over West Ham U21s, and scored his first goal for the club in the final day victory over Hartlepool United.
Everyone at Colchester United would like to wish Chay the best for his time with St Albans.
