EFL official sponsor Lifebuoy gave two families the opportunity to attend the fixture on Saturday 4th February, as part of the Together Supporting Communities Initiative.
One of those families were Janine and Luke Perry and their children. Janine was nominated as her youngest son, always asked to go and watch Colchester United whenever they drove past the stadium. The family do not get out much due to Janine's disability. It meant the absolute world to them to have an afternoon out with their children, that they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
Janine's husband Luke told us afterwards,
"Thank you so much for the opportunity and the opportunity for my wife to spend some time out with the kids before her disability becomes too much for her"
Colchester United and Colchester United Community Foundation wish the Perry family all the best for the future.
