One of the Colchester United January signings, Connor Hall, has spoken about the upcoming match against Grimsby, confidence and settling into life at Colchester.
The U’s make the long trip up to Grimsby Town on Saturday, in the hopes of winning five away matches on the bounce, Hall has spoken about how the group of players are very confident heading into the match given their form, but the squad are not overlooking the upcoming challenge given the home side’s result in the FA Cup.
The defender has also spoken about settling into life at the JobServe, mentioning the welcoming aspect of the players and staff and wanting to get his head down straight away and get to work.
“Loads of confidence, especially the away performances, I still think at home as well we’ve performed well, we’ve just not got over the line, got three points, but we’re going to an away game on Saturday and hopefully we can get another three points.
“I think they’ll be lively, first ten minutes, they’re coming off the back of a really good win, I think it’s how we manage the game first of all, quieten the crowd down, quieten them down and then get into what we’ve been doing on the training pitch this week and hopefully getting the three points against them.
“I think I’ve settled in, the players have been really good to me, it’s a really good club, really good group of lads, they made it easy for me and all the other new lads as well. There’s been a few lads that have come through the door and it’s just like any other football club, you get settled in as soon as possible, get down to how you want to play and that’s what I feel I’ve done here.”
