Colchester United defender Junior Tchamadeu has been nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month.
Nineteen-year-old wing-back Junior played in every minute of every game for Matt Bloomfield’s U’s, losing just once in six games throughout January.
Tchamadeu played his part with two goals; one against Harrogate Town after a brilliant weaving run from Samson Tovide, and the other, rifling home from the edge of the penalty area on the road at Rochdale.
The talented defender helped his side to put a three-game winning run together at the start of the month, as well as continuing the good form on the road, making it four consecutive victories away from home.
The PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month award includes six players from EFL League Two and each of the other top four professional leagues shortlisted for their performances in January.
