Colchester United have captured the signing of young forward Oscar Thorn for the U21 side.
Thorn had been on the books at both Arsenal and Norwich City before joining up with the U’s Academy, and has put pen-to-paper on a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
And after signing his deal, Oscar said he was delighted to start a new challenge with the U’s.
“As soon as I came in the lads have made me feel welcome, and I’ve been training with the team for about a month now. The setup and the coaches are great and I’m buzzing to be here. It’s taken its time (to get the deal done), but I’m glad it’s all over and I’m ready to get started.”
Describing himself as an attacking player that can play off the wing or as a striker, Oscar will be in contention to make his first appearance in Colchester United colours on Tuesday afternoon when the U21s host Cardiff City at Maldon Stadium.
