Colchester United have signed Tom Smith on loan from Arsenal.
The twenty year old signed a new contract with the Gunners last summer, and has spent the first half of the season at Bromley on loan.
He was recalled by Arsenal this week to make the move to the JobServe Community Stadium for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign, subject to the usual paperwork approvals.
Former U's keeper Andy Woodman, currently the Bromley boss, was well aware of Tom's talent in taking him into the National League club's squad, having coached him as the Head of Academy Goalkeeping at the Premier League giants.
Tom now makes the step-up for his first experience of league football, after earlier loan spells at Salisbury, Dover Athletic and Welling United, as well as his most recent one at Bromley.
