Chay Cooper has joined Hartlepool United on loan.
The twenty-two-year-old will be in the North East on a short-term deal, hoping to get some much-needed competitive match time.
Hartlepool sit mid-table in the National League, and Cooper will be hoping to make his debut at home against Boreham Wood this weekend, subject to the move being ratified by the usual authorities.
Cooper made his debut for the U's in the EFL Trophy against West Ham in September 2021, before showcasing his ability with a stunning goal at Hartlepool on the last day of the 2021/22 campaign.
Competition for places in the attacking midfiled areas has been fierce at the U's this seaosn, but Chay has made fifteen appearances.
