Jack Tucker was the major winner in Colchester United's seasonal awards, including being named the Official Player of the Year.

The U's centre half had to make numerous trips up to the stage at Thursday night's End of Season Dinner, sponsored by Fiducia Wealth Management, collecting the majority of the evening's trophies.

One that he couldn't win was the Young Player of the Year, which went to Kyreece Lisbie, who fought off fierce competition from loanees Harvey Araujo and Micah Mbick.

Arthur Read was amongst the top three in most of the awards, but he came out on top in the Goal of the Season vote for his screamer against Shrewsbury here at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Read also won Hospital Radio's Player of the Year, which was presented prior to kick-off last weekend when the U's faced Notts County.

Tucker has had a stand-out season, and has played every minute of every League Two game for the U's.

He has been a rock at the heart of the U's defence, and has stepped up seamlessly to be the U's Captain during Tom Flanagan's absences.

As well as the players receiving awards, members of staff were rewarded for their hard work over the past twelve months.

General Manager Tim Waddington voted Kit Man Dean Craig the Performer of the Year, whilst Multimedia & Marketing Assistant Cole Wren was voted Employee of the Year by his fellow workers at the football club.
