Pupils from three local primary schools were given a memorable experience recently as Colchester United First Team players visited as part of our Premier League Primary Stars programme.

Cann Hall Primary School, Walton-on-the-Naze Primary School and Elmstead Primary School all welcomed players into their classrooms and on to the playground, where they took part in a variety of fun and engaging physical activity sessions.

Sam Kuffour Jr visited Cann Hall Primary, while Elkanah Akor headed to Walton-on-the-Naze Primary School. Elmstead Primary School enjoyed a double visit, with Tom Smith and Ben Perry joining pupils for the day.

During the visits, the players engaged with pupils across a range of physical activity sessions, while also learning more about what it takes to become a professional athlete.

Premier League Primary Stars uses the unique appeal of professional football clubs to inspire young people to be active, support their wellbeing and develop essential life skills. The programme continues to make a significant impact both in and outside the classroom.

Visits such as these give children unforgettable experiences and strengthens the connection between Colchester United and the local community.
