We are saddened to report the news that John Worsp has passed away.
A Colchester United supporter since 1950, John went on to become an Executive Director and then Director of the club under former Chairman Peter Heard.
He was also instrumental in the set up of the Vice President's Club at Layer Road and would be seen at the majority of away matches, on top of all the home matches, throughout his time on the club's Board of Directors.
Our thoughts at this sad time are with John's wife Jackie, his family and all his friends.
