Ben Perry is noted for his versatility in the centre of the pitch. Highlighting his ability to operate as a "sitting" defensive midfielder or as a box-to-box player, his game is orchestrated by high work-rate, tenacity, and his "quality on the ball."
The spirited central midfielder began his youth career as a product of Nottingham Forest Academy, playing for the club in the Premier League 2 competition and the EFL Trophy during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
He moved on loan to Northampton Town for the rest of the 2024/25 season. His senior debut was made on 7th February 2025, coming off the bench in the second half in a 1-0 win against Mansfield Town in League One.
On 10th July 2025, Perry joined the U’s for an undisclosed fee for three years. He began the very first fixture against Tranmere, putting on a versatile and enthusiastic start to the season.
