Bio

Primarily a right back, Fin Back has the versatility to play if required. His robustness and aerial duels help contribute with his teammates secure the flank.

He is the son of Neil Back MBE, a former international rugby union player for England and the British & Irish Lions.

Fin Back began joined Nottingham Forest academy at the beginning of his youth career at eight-years old. He broke through to secure his first professional contract with the club on 4th October 2019. He extended his deal with the club on 13th July 2021.

11th August 2021 marked his professional debut, starting in an EFL Cup match against Bradford City.

He moved to Carlisle United on two separate loan spells for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons respectively. He made 2 assists in 41 appearances throughout the two seasons.

On February 2025, Back concluded his association with Forest after 14 years and signed with Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent transfer.

Fin Back joined the U’s on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season, on 31st January 2026.

His style of play is highly praised for his capability as a defensive midfielder and his strong awareness. A physically imposing character that is well-known for his aerial ability and crossing.
