The fast responding central defender always finds a way for possession of the ball and uses his athleticism and versatility to read the game.
His youth career began in 2016 where he trained at Fulham’s academy until January 2020 when he joined the U18 squad. He signed his first professional contract in September 2021.
On October 2021, Araujo earned his first international call-up to play for England at the under-18 side where he made four appearances.
After his time with England’s U16 side, he returned to Fulham to join the U21 side.
On July 2024, he signed a new three-year contract with the club before moving on loan to Chesterfield in August 2024. Araujo gained his first taste of senior football and made 23 appearances. He helped the team reach the play-offs.
In August 2025, he signed for a season-long loan for the U’s and has made over 25 appearances for the club.
His key attributes in his play includes his sense of danger and ability to stop breaches defensively, his technical ability to pass accurately which averages a 75% accuracy rate as well as playing out from the back, and his aerial presence and strength in the air, winning him an approximate 60% from his aerial duels.
