Bio

Jaden Williams’ right-footed attacking capability is his blue and white stronghold as a central striker. His use of his feet and high-quality dribbling ability has been praised because of his work rate and his contributions to defence from the front.

Williams is a product of the Tottenham Spurs Academy where he spent 15 years with them since he was six years old.

Since starting his youth career, Williams was a prolific goal scorer at the U18 level. In 2021/22 season, he scored 14 goals in 29 appearances, and in 2022/23, he scored 12 goals in 22 appearances, with a combined total of 26 goals in 51 appearances.

Williams signed his first professional contract in 2023 and was part of the U21 squad. Despite scoring only 8 goals in 51 appearances during his time with the U21, he helped them win the Premier League 2 title in the 2023/24 season.

In June 2025, he signed for the U’s on a long-term contract following his expiration of his deal at Tottenham. Since joining Colchester, Williams was a regular fixture in the squad in the 2025/26 season so far and has contributed to the team greatly and consistently. His skills are primarily utilised as a dynamic attack option off the bench.

In September 2025, he scored a goal in the EFL Trophy against Wycombe Wanderers, resulting a 2-1 win for Colchester United.

His recent highlight was the Barnet home match on 21st February 2026. Williams won a penalty after a bolted run into the box. Williams also assisted Jack Payne’s last-minute goal, concluding the match with a 4-1 win against Barnet.

During his time at Colchester so far, he has made 22 league appearances and 28 total appearances including the FA Cup, EFL Trophy, and EFL Cup.

“It’s a striker’s instinct. All good strikers follow it in and you hear that from whatever level you’re at. So it feels like second nature when it comes to those things.”
