Bio
Jay started his youth career at Northampton Town at age 13, where he developed his skills and made his senior debut in an EFL Trophy fixture in September 2018.
After leaving Northampton, he refined his game through spells in non-league football with Kettering Town, Harrogate Town, AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Banbury United, and Brackley Town.
Jay won the Southern League Premier Division Central title during his spell with Banbury United in the 2021/22 campaign. His skills earned himself a step back into League Two when manager Scott Lindsey signed him for Crawley Town in July 2023.
He established himself as a pivotal defensive force during the 2023/24 season. His performance for the team helped lead Crawley Town to promotion via the EFL League Two Play-Offs.
In January 2025, Jay moved to Milton Keynes Dons in January 2025 to rejoin former manager Scott Lindsey, but later returned to Crawley Two six months later for the 2025/26 season after the club was relegated back down to League Two.
After finishing the 2025/26 season with Crawley Town, Jay signed with the U’s permanently on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, just before the summer transfer window shut.
