Bio
Kyreece Lisbie continues his strong family tradition at Colchester as a winger/forward. He is the son of a former Colchester United legend, Kevin Lisbie and the older brother of teammate and U21 player Kaon Lisbie.
Lisbie follows his father’s footsteps through dynamics and pace on either flank. He is highly regarded for his directness, dribbling ability, and no hesitation to create shooting opportunities and cut inside the box. His goal contributions remain high in the 25/26 season so far and made himself one of the most productive and contributing wingers in League Two.
His youth career began with his brother Kyrell in the Leyton Orient Academy where, at the same time, their father was a senior player at the club. In 2017, they were released from Leyton Orient for being “too injury prone”, thus they failed trials at Colchester United, Watford, and Millwall.
However, a spell on trial with West Ham United impressed Watford enough to give them a second trial, and later signed contracts with Watford in October 2021 until the end of the 2021/22 season.
In 2022, Kyreece signed a one-year contract with the U21 team at Brentford and spent two and a half years playing for their B team. In March 2023 season, he suffered a patellar tendinopathy and thus ended his season with the B team.
Despite the injuries, he earned a Premier League Cup winner’s medal in recognition for his seven appearances and two goals in the 2022/23 competition. Lisbie continued to play for Brentford U21 until the 2024/25 winter transfer window, where he finished with eight goals and 18 appearances.
On 3rd February 2025, Lisbie transferred to League Two club Colchester United and signed a two-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. Lisbie began his spells in the U’s U21 team before joining Nations League club Braintree Town on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season. After he scored 2 goals in 7 appearances, he was recalled by the U’s on 8th April making only 4 appearances in the final three weeks of the 2024/25 season.
At the start of the 2025/26 season, Lisbie scored his first goal for the club on the opening match day of the season, with a “superb shot into the top corner of the net”, which resulted a 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers, and has since then, established himself as a key attacking and goal-scoring threat.
“Every young player wants to play as long as they can to impact the team, and that’s definitely one of my aspirations.”
