From the academy programme to debuting in first-team matches, Ronnie Harvey’s journey has been nothing more than awe-inspiring and bright for his football career.
His journey began here with the U’s, more specifically at the club’s Haverhill development centre at age 6, where he was scouted to join the programme. He moved later into the “Pre-Academy Programme”.
Ronnie progressed through every age group at the programme, which in 2025, he became a key player for the U18 and U21 squad.
The 25/26 season had become a landmark year for Ronnie as he made his first senior debut on 12th August 2025, where he played at the EFL Cup fixture against Oxford United at age 17.
He first League Two debut followed shortly where he played against Bristol Rovers on 20th September 2025, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
In December 2025, he joined Chelmsford City FC for a short-term loan to gain further experience within the first-team ranks, where he was featured in the FA Cup.
He returned to Colchester United to continue to play with the U21 and U18 squads.
“I've been very enthusiastic every day to come in, all my hard work in training and then obviously when I've been given the chance, I've worked hard and tried my best, so that's all you can really do.”
