Ticket Protection is an optional extra for supporters, allowing them to safeguard against unexpected circumstances that prevent them from attending the game.
The club understands that fans may encounter various unforeseen situations that prevent them from attending a game. By purchasing Ticket Protection, fans can log in to their online account at least five hours before the scheduled kick off time and choose between two options. The first option allows them to transfer their ticket to a future match, while the second option permits them to receive a refund to their Privilege Card.
TRANSFER OPTION
When opting for a transfer, fans must select a seat in the same or lower price range for a game that is available online and of the same competition type as the initially protected game. For example, if a fan protected a ticket for a seat in W6 for a league game they subsequently couldn't attend, they can only transfer the ticket to another available league game scheduled to take place after the game they missed. Additionally, they must select a seat that is priced the same or lower than a seat in W6.
PRIVILEGE CARD REFUND
If fans with to make a different choice, they can refund the cost of the ticket to their Privilege Card. Subsequently, they can utilise the refunded funds from their Privilege Card to contribute towards their alternative selection. It's worth noting that funds refunded to a Privilege Card can be used at the stadium for other purchases other than match tickets, such as in the Club Shop, or for food and drinks.
If a ticket is transferred to an alternative fixture, the previously purchased protection will be redeemed. If fans intend to safeguard their purchase for the new game as well, they'll need to purchase a new protection option.
Please note, the option is not currently available for Hospitality Tickets.
