This notice supplements the Colchester United Terms of Website Use. It applies to the Colchester United Club Site at https://www.cu-fc.com (the Club Site) and covers a small number of additional rules that are specific to using the Club Site. Automated access, scraping and bots
You must not use any software, script, automation tool, bot, scraper, crawler, third-party service or other technical means to access, copy, scrape, monitor, submit forms through, interfere with, or place excessive load on the Club Site, except where we have given express written permission. This includes automated attempts to purchase, redeem or access streaming passes, credits or other paid content.
We may block, rate-limit, suspend or otherwise restrict access to the Club Site where we detect, or reasonably suspect, automated access, scraping, misuse, security probing, excessive requests, or attempts to circumvent the intended operation, security or access controls of the Club Site.
We may also refuse requests, remove access to features, preserve evidence and pass relevant information to hosting providers, security partners, law-enforcement bodies, football authorities or regulators where we consider this reasonably necessary to protect the Club Site, the Club, users or other third parties.
Forms and user submissions
If you submit a form, enquiry, competition entry, survey response, preference or other information through the Club Site, you must ensure that it is accurate, lawful and not misleading.
You must not submit content that is abusive, unlawful, infringing, malicious or designed to interfere with the operation of the Club Site. We may reject, remove or moderate submissions where we consider this reasonably necessary.
Club news and content
The Club Site may include news, articles, fixtures, results, player information, interviews, media and other content published by or on behalf of Colchester United. This content is provided for general information and fan engagement only. We may update, correct, remove or archive Club Site content at any time. Unless we say otherwise, Club Site content must not be copied, republished, redistributed, scraped or used for commercial purposes without our permission.
Verification and anti-circumvention
Where the Club Site asks you to complete a verification step, such as a captcha, you must complete that step yourself, accurately and in good faith. You must not use third-party services to complete verification steps on your behalf, manipulate your location, or otherwise attempt to bypass checks required by the Club Site.
Breach of this clause is a misuse of the website and is treated under the misuse provisions of the main Colchester United Terms of Website Use.
Club Site availability and changes
During busy periods, maintenance, content updates or security events, the Club Site may slow down, briefly become unavailable, display older cached content, or limit the rate at which a device, network or account can submit requests.
