Change strip gets first outing on Friday.
Colchester United will launch their new away kit at the match against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday evening.
Having debuted their home kit in the first home friendly against West Ham on Tuesday, the U’s will now don their new look away strip in the game against Andre Villas Boas’ side, who will also be in a change strip on Friday night.
With the match against the Premier League opponents being sponsored by stadium sponsors Weston Homes, their logo will adorn the kit for Friday night – with the official away sponsors being revealed ahead of our opening day trip to Gillingham on August 3rd.
"The home kit was very well received by those in attendance on Tuesday night," U’s General Manager Tim Waddington said.
"There has been plenty of anticipation around the away kit and the team will wear it for the first time in this friendly match.
The home kit will go on sale at the U's Open Day this Sunday, which starts at 11am and runs through to 4pm.
"The blue and white stripes will return for the game against Ipswich on Tuesday and we hope that both kits become iconic ones in the U’s history as we hope for a successful season ahead under Joe’s management."
