U's Back Charity Events

14 March 2013

Two important dinners at WHCS.

The importance of mens' health will come to the fore in two big events at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in the next couple of weeks.

The U's have done a lot for charitable causes during the course of this season and their home venue will host two big charity dinners in the next fortnight.

First there is a dinner to support the superb fundraising work done by U's fan Tom Bowdidge on March 20th.

Tom is currently suffering from stomach cancer, but has taken on the task of raising significant funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust during the course of his illness.

His dinner at the stadium on March 20th will see Talksport host Alan Brazil as the star guest, and there are also two fantastic prizes up for auction on the night.

Sealed bids for these two prizes can be left for the attention of John Schultz at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

1) Box for 5 People at the Royal Albert Hall for the Rizzle Kicks and Labrinth Concert donated by Teenage Cancer Trust

Tickets are again £50 or £450 for a table of ten. Call 01255 679695 for more details.

The day culminates with another fantastic dinner at the stadium, with U's management duo Joe Dunne and Mark Kinsella the star guests.

This is a brilliant event put on by mens health charity CHAPS and the day begins with the opportunity for local men to come and take part in free health checks during the course of the day (10am to 4pm).

Eight days later and it's the return of Mens Health Day at the stadium. Mens Health Day

If you also wanted to attend on the 20th, tickets for the dinner cost £50 and can be bought by calling John Schultz on 07939 544364 or Richard Bowdidge on 07977 251513.

2) Match Ball from the 1992 Wembley  FA Trophy Final donated by and signed by Roy McDonough
