There was a surprise for young U's fan Owen Binks on Friday afternoon.
Owen achieved a fantastic record in the 2012/13 season, making every single one of the U's league and cup games during the course of the campaign - some 49 matches without missing a minute.
Because of that, the 15-year-old was in amongst the loyal fans that made the trip to Hartlepool on a Tuesday night and those that enjoyed such a memorable day at Carlisle on the final day of the season.
As a result, U's legends Karl Duguid and Kem Izzet visited Owen at home after school on Friday to drop off a matchworn shirt signed by all of the players to show their appreciation for his fantastic support.
Owen has promised to make every game next season - so we will hopefully see him at the first game on August 3rd.
