Fans Dinner Raises Funds

10 May 2013

Supporters help Robbie's fundraising.

As the curtain came down on another league season, one group of U's fans have done their bit to raise funds for chairman Robbie Cowling's Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising.

The Walton On The Naze U's (also known as WOTNUS) have been attending games as a group together throughout the season and came together for a night out last Friday to recall the season and the ups and downs along the way.

WOTNUS also welcomed U's players Matt Heath and Tom Eastman, as well as club director Kevin Bull to the Harbour Lights restaurant in Walton on what was a memorable evening.

Tom was runner-up in the WOTNUS Player of the Year vote, whilst Jabo Ibehre was their winner from a vote of those that have been to games this season.

The night saw a raffle and auction and the WOTNUS branch raised a fantastic £361 for Teenage Cancer Trust, taking Robbie's fundraising efforts for the charity to over £6,500.
