Okuonghae leads the way
Although not amongst the end of season award winners, Magnus Okuonghae and Brian Wilson were instrumental for the U's this season.Magnus was top of most of the appearance lists, closely followed by his fellow defender Wilson. In a season where 37 players stepped foot on the pitch in U's colours, the powerful centre half topped the charts.
Of the 43 league appearances he made, 42 were in the starting line-up for Joe Dunne and his predecessor John Ward.
Brian Wilson started 41 league matches, and in fact all of his 42 total appearances were as a starter.
Okuonghae was one ahead of Wilson on total appearances for the campaign, accumulating 43 games, with Gavin Massey in third place.
The former Watford trainee started 34 league matches, came on in another 6 League One fixtures and appeared in total on 41 occasions.
Unsurprisingly, these three occupied the top three positions in the 'minutes played' charts, Magnus totting up 4082, Brian 3702 and Gavin again in third on 2829.

All three keepers used, Mark Cousins, John Sullivan and Sam Walker, had a perfect score of 90 and they were joined by the solo outfield player Ben Coker.
Admittedly, Coker did only make two appearances but he was still ahead of Magnus, who managed to average 88.74 minutes per appearance.
Wilson was next on 88.14, just one hundredth of a minute ahead of Michael Rose, who averaged 88.13 minutes in his 24 matches.
