Mixed Results For Loanees

1 December 2014

Three defeats and a win for those out at other clubs.

The U's fell to defeat at MK Dons on Saturday and it was a weekend of disappointing results for those U's players out on loan at other clubs.

The only player who saw his team win at the weekend was Jabo Ibehre who, returning from suspension, was not included in the matchday eighteen for Oldham Athletic as they won their derby game against Rochdale.

But for the others out on loan, it was defeats all round.

Marcus Bean played 68 minutes for Portsmouth in League Two as they fell to a 3-1 reverse against improving Tranmere Rovers. Josh Thompson, on loan at the Prenton Park club, was on the sidelines as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

In the Vanarama Conference, Dan Holman was substituted at half time after taking a blow to the ankle in the match at Wrexham. Aldershot eventually fell to a 3-1 defeat at the Racecourse Ground.

Having helped Hornchurch to a midweek cup win, there was no such luck for Billy Roast in his game at the weekend in the FA Trophy.

The Urchins looked like they might earn a replay against Wimborne Town at the weekend, but two goals in injury time ensured that they bowed out 4-2.
