Young midfielder motivated by good finish
On his return from holiday, the nineteen year old dropped by the Weston Homes Community Stadium and we grabbed him for a chat.
"Winning the final two games and picking up the six points made us look forward to rolling that form into the new season.
"Everyone will be coming back into pre-season confident that we can do well.
"We'll get some games under our belts and hopefully get the start to the season that we got last year."
The squad will report for fitness testing in the final week in June, before beginning pre-season proper at the start of July.
And Gilbey hopes that it won't all be running, saying: "We got the balls out straight away last year so hopefully, it'll be the same this time round."
"We try to pass the ball as much as we can in games so I'm sure that will be the focus for us again."
