Club extend free ticket offer for new season.
Colchester United have extended their free ticket offer for the new season, meaning families across the local area will be able to watch the U’s for great value prices in 2014/15.
The U’s originally launched free tickets for U8s for every game next season but, such has been the level of early demand for season tickets for their youngest fans, that they’ve decided to now make tickets FREE for all children up to U11s!
U’s General Manager Tim Waddington said: "We have been delighted with the level of demand already for U8s Season Tickets, which has seen both existing and new supporters opting to get on board for next season.
"We have looked at our plans for next season and think that making this available for those who fall into the U11s bracket is the right thing to do. It will mean that families will be able to watch their local team play for a great value price and help us grow our fanbase of the future, whilst having plenty of fun along the way.
"This also fits in perfectly with the development of our Football in the Community programme and the work that they are doing with Primary Schools across the county, as well as the club’s long term vision for our Academy and producing home grown players.
"We look forward to welcoming young football fans next season and hope they’ll be as proud as we are to support our local team!"
Tickets in the Family Enclosure for adults start at just £16, meaning that two adults and up to eight children could watch the U’s in action for only £32! It is also hoped that local kids teams, schools and other groups will take advantage of this fantastic offer to come and see Joe Dunne’s side in action next season.
