Two Return, Two Step Up

5 September 2014

Strong squad heads to Walsall.

New management duo Tony Humes and Richard Hall have named a strong squad for Colchester United's trip to Walsall on Saturday.

After his first week's training with the U's senior side, Tony will now be working out which of the players at his disposal make the cut for the first eleven under his control this weekend.

Having missed last weekend's defeat to Peterborough United, Craig Eastmond is back in the fold for the game in the Midlands, whilst David Wright is also in contention after his recent return in the U21s game against Sheffield United.

Sanchez Watt, who made a big impact as substitute against Peterborough, got another hour under his belt in the U21s game against Nottingham Forest in midweek and will also travel to Walsall.

Tony has also included two young players in the first team squad for the first time.

Dom Smith, who has hit the ground running after his summer move from Crewe Alexandra, is named as part of the travelling party, whilst Byron Lawrence will also go to the game after his free transfer arrival in midweek.
