Board On Their Bikes

6 April 2015

Richard and Robbie to cycle to Fleetwood.

Colchester United board members will be back on their bikes for the U’s final away game against Fleetwood Town.

In recent years, vice chairman Richard Cowling and chairman Robbie Cowling have undertaken many successful charity campaigns in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, most famously in the 2012/13 season, where Robbie ran to every home game and cycled to the away games against Preston North End and Carlisle United.

Richard and Robbie will be joined by four U’s supporters for a ride from Colchester to Fleetwood’s Highbury Stadium – some 294 miles – to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The U’s fans riding north will include Stuart Begg, father of Emily, for whom the U’s fundraising for this great cause began after she passed away after a battle with leukaemia.

Representatives of Teenage Cancer Trust will be at the stadium for the game v Barnsley to get the fundraising underway – please give generously to this fantastic cause!
