Colchester United's next home game sees us welcome our Essex neighbours Southend United to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Boxing Day.It's time to renew rivalries, after a five year gap, after the Shrimpers returned to League One via the play-offs at the end of last season.
There are less than two weeks until Southend make the short journey up the A12 for the festive encounter and we're looking for YOUR memories of previous derby days.
We want to hear about your favourite matches against the the side from the other end of the county - and we suspect that hat-tricks from Perry Groves and Jamie Cureton will feature highly amongst U's fans' recollections.
