U's defender remains at Tranmere.
Josh Thompson has extended his loan at Tranmere Rovers.
The U's centre half has been with Micky Adams' side since October and will now stay in the North West until January 24th.
He has made six appearances for Tranmere, despite missing six weeks with a hamstring injury.
