U's Gain Major Sponsor

Rallysport Engineering to sponsor West Stand.

Colchester United are delighted to announce a new major sponsorship ahead of the 2015/16 season.

The U’s are teaming up with Rallysport Engineering, who will become West Stand sponsors following their recent arrival in Colchester.

Rallysport Engineering have successful branches of their business in both Wickford and Southend and have quickly shown their commitment to the town after recently opening new premises on Commerce Way.

They are a not for profit community interest company, specialising in delivering qualifications to learners aged between 13 and 16.

Working with over 50 different schools and organisations in Essex, they help over 250 students a week, offering them the opportunity to achieve a recognised qualification in motor vehicle studies.

Their courses offer the basics of vehicle maintenance, working through to more complex systems of a motor vehicle.

Sam Nagle, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Rallysport Engineering said: "Being a Community Interest Company, we could not think of a better opportunity than to support a football club that really does have the community interests at heart.

"Their passion for integration with the community is outstanding and their work with young people has to be admired.

"With our public garage now open, this sponsorship deal is a brilliant way of letting the local community know what we do, who we are and that we are now open for public use, within the keeping of the Rallysport ethos.

"The whole Rallysport team is extremely excited about the future that can be moulded between Colchester United and ourselves.

"A lot of young learners who may attend the ground will have heard of us or worked closely with us, so it will be great for them two see the two names brought together.

"To hopefully follow that on to be the mechanical garage of choice for those in the community is a very exciting prospect.  Not least because any profits generated by our company are re-invested back into our community projects.

"A lot differentiates us from normal car garages, and the same can be said for that of Colchester and the other football clubs.

"To be Family Club of the Year is an amazing achievement and very much something we wanted to show support for.  To say we are excited about the future is an understatement, but for the time being, were are very much looking forward to the first game of the season!"

As part of their sponsorship deal, Rallysport Engineering will have their own executive box on matchdays, as they get right behind the team from day one of the new season.

The U’s commercial team were pleased to welcome Sam and his company on board, and Head of Sales Michelle Tricker said: "It is fantastic to see another local business showing us their support and we’re delighted to have Rallysport Engineering sponsoring the West Stand.

"We have been overwhelmed with the level of support local companies have shown us since the end of last season and this deal is one of many we are hoping to have tied up before the first ball is kicked in August.

"Colchester United are Family Club of the Year and have a strong community programme, so we can see a lot of synergy with the work that Rallysport Engineering do with local schools and we look forward to seeing how we can work together in the future."

It is hoped that Rallysport Engineering’s commitment to the club will be the first of several such partnerships to be agreed in the coming weeks.

Sales Executive Lloyd Webb, who worked with Rallysport Engineering to agree the West Stand sponsorship, said: "We are pleased to welcome Sam and his team to Colchester United and we’re looking forward to working with them and developing this new relationship.

"It is great to have a company keen to show their commitment to the club and the town and I am excited about the opportunities for both parties in the future."
