U21s Narrowly Beaten

27 October 2015

Single goal enough for Millwall win.

Colchester United's U21s lost 1-0 in their latest fixture, away at Millwall on Tuesday afternoon.

On the balance of play, the U's probably did enough to win the game, but Keaton Wood scored with a close range header after just ten minutes to give the home side all three points.

The U's prompted and probed as they sought an equaliser in a closely fought encounter, but were unable to find a way back into the game.

The match saw Michael O'Donoghue continue his return to fitness, as he got another hour under his belt, whilst Charley Edge also got some game time under his belt on his own road to recovery after a recent injury.

Next up for the U's U21s is a home game on Monday November 9th.
