Former wing half passes away.
Colchester United were saddened to hear the news of the passing of former U's wing half Cyril 'Squib' Hammond.
Cyril passed away at the age of 88 on September 10th. He made 100 appearances in the blue and white stripes, having left Charlton to play at Layer Road. He then joined Severalls upon his release from the club.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
