Lay-off for U's midfielder.
Doug Loft could be out of action for up to three months.
The U's midfielder hasn't appeared since the Portsmouth game last month and a scan revealed the damage to his Achilles.
Physio Tony Flynn reported: "A partial tear was discovered and it has necessitated an injection and a protective boot.
"He will be in the boot for the next few weeks, although he will still be able to do plenty of work in that time, including some cross training and bike to keep up his cardio levels.
"It is a bit early to predict exactly how long he will be out but two to three months is the estimate at this stage."
