McGreal - Harder Work Starts Now

Head Coach challenges U's players to continue good form

28 December 2017

The U's have got to work hard to keep the recent run going, according to John McGreal.

Going into the final game of 2017, a trip to Chesterfield on Saturday, the U's sit fifth in the League Two table following a run of only two defeats in fifteen matches.

Nine victories have come the U's way in that time, and only Notts County and Carlisle United have managed to take all three points off McGreal's side.

But the U's Head Coach insists that no-one can take anything for granted in the second half of the season.

He told the assembled press ahead of the weekend  trip: "All credit must go to the players for the recent run we've been on."

"But the harder work starts now, there can't be any letting up of standards or any dropping off of the hard work that has got us where we are.

"Every team in the division poses a threat and we will have to be on our game in every single fixture if we are to maintain our run, starting on Saturday at Chesterfield."
