Young trio Charley Edge, Diaz Wright and Decarrey Sheriff have signed deals until June 2018.
All three have been regulars in the U23s fixtures and have been rewarded with new contracts at the U's.
Edge and Wright have already made first team appearances, and Sheriff hasn't been far away with some impressive performances in the attack for the U23s.
Younger brother of Drey, Diaz has progressed through the youth team ranks at the Weston Homes Community Stadium and progressed quickly into the U23s.
He was named on the bench for the first team game at Crawley Town last August and replaced Tom Lapslie for his debut.
Edge joined the U's after completing his apprenticeship at Premier League side Everton, and like Wright, quickly established himself as a regular U23s starter.
He impressed with the U's U23s and was handed his first team debut as a substitute in the league game against Crawley Town in February.
International recognition has seen him make appearances for Wales at both U16s and U17s levels.
Sheriff was with West Ham United as a youngster, before serving his two year apprenticeship here at Colchester United.
The powerful forward was very much a part of the U's U23s squad that made it through to the Semi-Final of the Premier League Cup, and wll be hoping for another successful season in 20017/18.
