Treatment Room Update

U's Physio Tony Flynn with the latest on the injured players

12 June 2017

Colchester United Physio Tony Flynn is confident most of the players who suffered serious injury in the 16/17 season will be fit for pre-season.

Tony told iFollow that they are all progressing well and should be fit to join up with the squad when they return to Florence Park at the end of the month.

The likes of Sammie Szmodics, Luke Prosser, Craig Slater and Denny Johnstone all missed a big chunk of the season but have already been out on the training ground building up their fitness levels.

Kurtis Guthrie is a bit behind these players, but is still expected to be ready for the big kick-off at the start of August.

Brennan Dickenson will have to be a bit more patient - his ruptured ACL, Anterior Cruciate Ligament, will keep him out of action until approximately the turn of the year.

The U's long serving physio had good news from the early days of Brennan's recovery though when he spoke at the end of last week.
