U's Take On Gunners

1 June 2017

Colchester United Football in the Community and Arsenal Foundation teamed up on Wednesday afternoon at Colchester United Football Club for some Premier League Kicks friendly matches.

Both clubs had U12s-U14s and U14s-U16s age groups who played against each other on the Weston Homes Community Stadium 3G pitches.

In what was a very warm afternoon, all teams played some fantastic football in some competitive matches.

Tom Tayler, Premier League Kicks Coordinator for Colchester United said: "It was great that we were able to welcome Arsenal here to Colchester United and great for the players to have the opportunity to play matches against other young people from other Kicks Programmes.

"We are already arranging a reverse fixture, as well as matches against other Kicks programmes for our participants so there is plenty to look forward to within our Premier League Kicks scheme for the upcoming months."
