Can you join our Development Centre teams?
Colchester United Football in the Community is holding their annual Development Centre Open Trial for talented young footballers at Shrub End Community & Sports Centre later this year.
The Open Trial will take place on Wednesday 26th July at Shrub End Community & Sports Centre, Boadicea Way, Colchester, CO2 9BG.
Timings are 16:00–17:30 for U7s to U11s and 18:00–19:30 for U12s to U16s. Please note the trials are for next season's age groups.
We are looking for talented footballers who are looking to improve their individual ability and progress along the Colchester United Talent Identification Pathway.
The Development Centre is an invitation-only player development programme, with challenging training sessions led by UEFA licensed coaches with an emphasis on developing the individual player.
As part of the programme, players are developed at weekly sessions and participate in fixtures against other professional Development Centres throughout the season.
There are also further opportunities for boys to progress onto the clubs Elite and Academy programmes should players demonstrate the required ability.
We would like to clearly state that all Development Centre players are encouraged to continue playing for their local teams and that any matches organised throughout the season would not affect their club matches.
