Colchester United captain Luke Prosser visited a school in Braintree on Monday to play his part in the Premier League's Reading Stars project.
Premier League Reading Stars sessions are designed for boys who are in Year 5/6 and enjoy football.
These targeted interventions are aimed at boys who particularly do not enjoy reading and, through the power of football, the U's Football in the Community project hopes to engage them and prove that reading is not so bad!
"It ended with lots of autographs, reading stories and asking questions about Colchester United and Luke’s favourite books. All involved had a terrific day which they will not forget!"
