Colchester United's U15s will take on their Southampton counterparts after the U's first team match against Swindon on Saturday
The U's youngsters, who took four points from their two games against Arsenal in the Premier League Floodlit Cup, have since been in a Shield competition for those sides who didn't make it to the knockout stages of the original tournament.
Having beaten Millwall in the last round of the Floodlit Shield, they'll now face the Saints at WHCS on Saturday evening in a 5.45pm kick-off.
The match will take place after the U's game against Swindon Town and fans who come to the first team's final home match are invited to stay and watch the younger U's in action.
U’s Academy Manager Jon De Souza said: “The fans really can play a big part today as, the more people that watch them, the more it puts them under pressure and tests them in a game like environment.
“It would be great if the supporters could stay around and watch for another hour and a half, because I believe it will play its part in helping these young players to progress.
“The group has done well this year and a real measure of that, even though they are still U15s, they have contributed nearly 50 appearances between them at U18s level this season and that can only bode well for the future.”
How To Watch
The Southampton match is free admission to all supporters on Saturday.
