Girls Football Week, supported by The FA, was a huge success for our Colchester United Football in the Community team.
Our coaches delivered seven separate events, engaging with over 300 females between the ages of 5-41.
These events included Premier League Primary Stars Girls Only Festivals, Premier League Girls Festivals, SSE Wildcats Festivals plus a 16+ Women’s session.
Women’s & Girls Coordinator Rebecca Edwards said: "It has been a great week and we are lucky to have had the backing of The FA and to have worked in partnership with Disney to deliver a really fun and exciting event."
Louise Hobson from Mersea School added: “I don’t normally play football but I tried out for the girls team and was really happy to get in. "The festival was really enjoyable, we had lots of games and it was great to dance when we scored!"
