On Saturday, we welcome back to the Weston Homes Community Stadium Boots2Africa, ahead of their upcoming return to Kenya.
The micro charity, formed in 2016, return to us for their second boot donation event of the season and at the end of March will be heading back to the Walk Centre School in Nakuru, Kenya, with the Football in the Community team.
With boot and astro donations from U’s fans, children and players from over 70 grassroots clubs in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, Boots2Africa are today just short of 4,000 Boots2Africa donated in 18 months!
Over 6,000 items of surplus kit donated by players, clubs and organisations have also made their way to these desperately needy children born in to poverty.
If you’d like to help Boots2Africa by organising your own boot donation event, get in touch via e-mail info@boots2africa.co.uk or via their Boots2Africa Facebook page and checkout their website www.boots2africa.co.uk.
